Steven Murchie Cahill, 70, of Branson, MO., died on January 24, after a long illness. Mr. Cahill is survived by a brother, Douglas (Kathryn) Cahill; a sister, Susan (George) Pappas; three nieces and a nephew; and two great nieces and two great nephews.
Mr. Cahill was born on 1/29/41 in Chicago, IL., to Jeannette and Arthur Cahill and spent his childhood in Hyde Park and River Forest, Illinois. He attended Oak Park River
Forest High School where he served on the Student Council, he was captain of the swim team, his senior year, served as a senior class officer. He delivered a commencement
speech at his 1959 high school graduation ceremony. He graduated from Yale University in 1963, with a BA in Economics and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago in
the early 70’s. Steve served in the Marine reserves and worked on the Great Lakes ore boats during the mid to late 1960’s.
Mr. Cahill sold real estate in Branson, MO., after locating there in the 70’s. He moved to San Diego, CA, in the early 80’s where he worked as a real estate appraiser until his return to the Branson/Springfield, MO., area.
A memorial service will be held in the Branson area in early April.
